Meeting called to order at 7:00pm by Dave Warriner
Barb Hall Treasurer gave a brief report of the CLLAA cash balances. Cash, cd’s, and checks totaling approximately $15,585.85. She also reported that all of the past weevil funds had been spent and no balances are due. She indicated that there are no other approved projects as of this date.
There was discussion about the 4 CLLAA signs on Little Canada, Manning, Hiawatha and Wiley roads that are in need of repair/replacement. There was discussion around which vendors could do the work and possibly getting quotes/bids from potential sign companies. Barb was going to discuss with Chuck Maziasz to see which sign companies might be considered.
Dave Warriner indicated that the second 2015 milfoil survey had just been completed. The results were very favorable and that there would not be a second application/treatment in 2015.
It was also communicated that PLM and Progressive AE had not included $800.00 in their estimates for DEQ permits. It was also discussed that Tony Groves administrative fee had increased to $9,000.00 from $8,000.00. Discussion occurred regarding who (township or lake association) is responsible for these oversights and increases. It is understood that it is the township’s responsibility but also agreed that the CLLAA should have direct insight regarding the results of the surveys as well as the contract, deviations, addendum’s, etc. going forward. David Warriner agreed to discuss the issues directly with Tony Groves of Progressive AE.
Fabian LaVigne provided the Tip of The Mitt information regarding water clarity in northern Michigan lakes and streams and Jeff Sherman agreed to scan and provide to Fred Schramm for posting to the CLLAA website.
